We are looking for driven, hardworking Chiller Technicians with knowledge of centrifugal and screw-type chillers. Responsibilities: Duties/Responsibilities: • You will have the responsibility of conducting local diagnostic troubleshooting on-site and providing assistance over the phone with technical support, controls programming, maintenance, start and test procedures, and all repair-related tasks • Possess a positive mindset, with a willingness to provide excellent customer service, maintain their equipment, and uphold the company’s reputation to the fullest extent • To complete the task, you must apply your understanding of air conditioning principles, pipe installation, and mechanical arrangements • It is imperative to consistently adhere to safe work practices and prioritize the implementation of safety protocols on a daily basis • Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Field experience in industrial refrigeration, proficiency in control systems, and excellent communication skills are necessary • Exceptional abilities in solving problems and critical thinking • Excellent mechanical diagnostic abilities • Proficiency in carrying out repairs and completing necessary documentation • Capacity to carry at least 15 pounds consistently • Capability to operate in restricted areas with or without the use of a ladder • Capability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening • All technician roles are considered positions that require a high level of security • Capable of working independently or collaboratively with a small team of 2-3 individuals, including field technicians, demonstrating self-motivation and confidence • Adequate licenses for handling refrigerants along with operational and service expertise • An unlimited journeyman license accompanied by a decade or more of experience in handling centrifugal and screw-type chillers About Company: SMSI is dedicated to providing the highest quality mechanical services performed in an honest, dependable, and efficient manner.
