Salary: $300/day + Safety Bonus.

Job Summary

Pacific Channel Transportation is seeking a CDL-A Driver. As a Relief Driver, you will report in every day and will fill in for any call-outs. If you are not needed on a route that night, you are responsible for helping to load and unload any freight, make one-off deliveries and any responsibilities as needed. This role involves the timely pickup, labeling, and delivery of shipments within a 250-mile radius of Pasco, WA.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ability to work NIGHTSHIFT Monday to Friday 11pm-7am.
• Drop and hook loads, line hauls or direct to dealership.
• Some routes are touch freight – must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.
• Home every day.
• MUST HAVE 2-years of CDL Class A Driving Experience.
• Exceptional customer contact and driving skills.
• Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates, and store leader and associates.
• Drivers will also be expected to systemically update orders via a handheld device.
• Drive a CDL Class A vehicle on local routes.
• Communicate delivery updates to customers.
• Any additional duties as assigned.
• Climb in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping and climbing.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Valid, active Class A Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.
• MUST HAVE 2-years of CDL Class A Driving Experience.
• Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen.
• As a CDL Class A Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.
