Job Description - Customer Service Representative III

Volt is immediately hiring for a Customer Service Representative III at Portland, OR.
As a Customer Service Representative III, you will:
  • The Customer Service Dispatcher schedules equipment and dispatch drivers for movement of materials. Support sales in requesting and compiling pricing and distributing load pickups to various contracted haulers. Duties may include using radio, telephone, and computer to transmit assignments and compiling statistics and reports on work progress.
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers and equipment to appropriate locations according to customer requests, route specifications and plant needs using route sheets and telephones.
  • Communicate with maintenance and arrange for necessary repairs in order to maintain equipment.
  • Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers and supervisors using telephones or two-way radios.
  • Confer with customers, supervising personnel, and sales in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service and equipment.
  • Prepare daily work and run/route schedules.
  • Receive customer/sales service requests and prepare route assignments.
  • Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories.
  • Monitor personnel and/or equipment to maximize service and schedules.
  • Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, or services performed.
  • Determine amounts of vehicles and drivers required according to customer requests or route specifications.
  • Ensure timely and efficient movement of materials according to work orders and schedules.
  • Order supplies and equipment and issue them to personnel as needed.
This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity.
Schedule: 7 AM – 4 PM
The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Intermediate user of MS Excel and other MS Office Suite products.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Dispatching and scheduling multiple truck routes efficiently, while maximizing customer needs.
  • Clerical skills: documenting information correctly, data entry, file management.
  • Communication skills: Answering phones, and returning emails on time, in a professional manner.
  • Experience in manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Experience in fleet management.
Payrate Range in Between - $20 - $25/hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
