Job Description - Customer Support Services Manager

Job Description and Duties

CCHCS seeks to fill a permanent/full-time Information Technology Manager I position in Information Technology Services Division.

Under the general direction of the Deputy Director, the Information Technology (IT) Operation, the IT Manager I serves as the Customer Support Services Manager, and has significant responsibility for formulating or administering organization information technology policies and programs for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Desktop Support Operations and Services, Desktop Service and Support and Enterprise Solution Center.  The incumbent is recognized as an expert in the areas of Desktop Support, Desktop Hardware, Desktop Software, and other End Point Services. The incumbent must maintain confidentiality of information acquired while performing job duties, demonstrate ethical behavior and work cooperatively with others. Travel to institutions and after hours support of California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) software applications and systems may be required due to operational need.

Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.
