The basics of this position:

This position serves as a member of a cross-functional enrollment processing team. Primarily located at the Meramec campus. While it may be assigned specific day-to-day processing duties, the expectation of this position is to be skilled in the ability to perform all basic enrollment processes necessary to support the admission, registration, and retention of students through completion of educational goals. Responsible for interacting with students, staff, faculty and public in a pleasant, tactful, and courteous manner that represents a student-centered philosophy, supportive of providing an exceptional student experience.

What you'll do:

  • Monitors applications for admission for all student types. Resolves discrepancies in residency, student type, and tuition and fees assessment based on enrollment data. Assists with automated and manual processing of applicants and initiation of communication regarding admission decision.
  • Assists with intake and entry of enrollment documents, including but not limited to: high school transcripts, college transcripts, GED/HiSet certificates, dual credit/dual enrollment approval forms, etc. Processes educational verifications and transcripts for non-credit students. Prepares and processes admissions/enrollment correspondence to students via US postal mail and e-mail.
  • Performs in-person, mail-in, and phone registrations for non-credit courses; registers credit students; provides information, routine guidance and interpretation on Web registration.
  • Collects registration fees and payments for miscellaneous obligations, enters waivers, receipts actual payments, cash close, balances petty cash, prepares totals for bank deposit and daily balance report for business office; tracks errors in student financial accounts; prepares refunds for students, when appropriate.
  • Facilitates withdrawals and schedule changes for students; handles all details connected with cancellation of credit and non-credit courses including the notification of instructors and students.
  • Provides technical support for student and department needs.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Associate’s Degree or equivalent college credit and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an educational environment, preferably in admissions, registration, or student records; or 3 years of relevant experience. High attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner is a must. Must have working knowledge of the Microsoft applications suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong technical aptitude and experience with Ellucian Banner student information system is a plus.
