Job Description - Entry Level BD Coordinator

CORMAC is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing company. This is a part-time remote opportunity open to HUBZone RESIDENTS ONLY. Please verify your HUBZone status by going to: https://maps.certify.sba.gov/. In this role the individual will work 40 hours a month/10 hours per week, which allows for relatively flexible hours, however at least half of the work will be completed during business hours when some of the communications that are related to the work may need to occur. Must have the ability to attend networking events in the DC/Baltimore metro area. This is a remote position in the DC/Baltimore metro area. The pay rate for this position will be $17/hr.

As a BD Coordinator you will assist in the development and implementation of strategies to drive business growth, acquire new clients, and expand market presence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Daily duties will vary according to project needs, with job responsibilities to include:

  • Under the direct supervision of the Business Development team, provide administrative support for various projects and duties.
  • Uncover new business opportunities within the client base.
  • Develop & help maintain new business relationships by following up with regular proactive contact.
  • Execute daily customer outreach initiatives aimed at new customer acquisition or retention.
  • Participate in company provided training courses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Skills

  • High School or equivalent required; Some college preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a customer-facing role is a plus but not required.
  • Strong sense of ambition, self-motivation, and self-discipline.
  • An outgoing, confident, and articulate individual who flourishes in social environments.
  • Capable of taking initiative and possessing skills for problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to take direction and execute given tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work productively with a diverse team, welcome and adapt adequately to change, and respond to feedback professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear and professional manner.
