Job Description

Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. (VWT) is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer for our Cary, NC office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the field service team, the main responsibilities will be to travel to construction sites each week and perform all or any combination of the following tasks. The construction sites can be located anywhere in the US so ability to travel 80% of the time is a must.

  • Inspect the installation of Veolia supplied equipment.

  • Verify the proper installation of Veolia water and wastewater treatment systems.

  • Provide support to the installation contractor for installation of Veolia supplied equipment.

  • Conduct commissioning and start-up of new equipment and systems.

  • Provide support for existing Veolia installations.

  • Review project specifications and plans to ensure installations are within compliance.

  • Conduct on-site operation & maintenance training with operating, maintenance and management personnel.

  • Conduct lab testing as needed for process troubleshooting or process optimization.

  • Troubleshoot, inspect and re-build of existing equipment in the field.

  • Generate daily reports and documentation in compliance with project requirements.

Essential Competencies

  • Must be able to travel 80% of the time.

  • Excellent communication skills. Must be able to exchange complex technical information with the project team.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and interact effectively and professionally with customers.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.

  • Excellent Mechanical Aptitude

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 year technical associates degree required. A bachelors degree in engineering is preferred.

  • 1-3 years of field service experience is preferred.
