Finance Systems Analyst (Hybrid) Location Hybrid remote in Tacoma, WA :

Position Summary:

The Finance Systems Analyst facilitates the next generation of financial analysis and process using modern data modeling and querying skills with a well-rounded financial acumen. This role leverages our best in class finance data warehouse and transitions key business processes as we complete an ERP transition over the next several years.

The objective of this role is to enhance and automate critical financial reporting and analysis processes that support business and executive leadership. This requires an individual that enjoys ambiguous work, comfortable with large datasets and understands systems. Well-rounded financial acumen is a requirement, a desire to build on that acumen and acquire industry expertise will succeed in this role.

This newly created FP&A opportunity is open due to company growth and commitment to data driven analysis. It will be based at our Tacoma office with a hybrid (typically 3/2) in-office/remote schedule.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Further build and maintain the integrated finance and operations reporting model suite used by the FP&A team
  • Identify (with guidance from the director of FP&A) critical financial reporting needs to establish and automate
  • Support the transition to integrated Sales and Operations planning
  • Prioritize ad-hoc analysis for executive leadership
  • Develop what - if pro forma framework for critical business levers e.g. inventory management, customer contracts and cash flow
  • Enhance CAPEX reporting for effective project monitoring and ROI evaluation
  • Consistently partner with IT to adhere reporting and analysis to governed standards
  • Automate time consuming finance tasks to enhance the capabilities of the team
  • Drive simplification and standardization of financial reporting and processes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Consults and coordinates with systems analysts and programmers to design, develop and improve automated financial systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a progressively responsible financial analyst position, with a focus on financial planning and analysis
  • Advanced experience with a Tier 1 reporting tool, preferably SAP Power BI
  • License/Certification: CFA, CPA or other relevant certification (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • BI and Query tool experience (SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Basic programing a plus (e.g. Python, R, VBA)
  • Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong ability to problem solve, particularly in an environment with ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Ability to write, interpret and communicate financial reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to solve complex system, data and process problems
