A seasonal Groundskeeper position offers you a great entry level introduction into the State of Montana workforce to start your career. We are looking for an observant individual that can work both independently and as a positive-minded team member on collaborative projects. You will be responsible for prioritizing the cleanliness and safety of Fishing Access Sites and State Parks in the Glendive area. This position is dynamic, and responsibilities will change throughout the season allowing you to acquire knowledge in the safe operation of both hand and power tools, landscaping equipment, noxious weed identification, and basic carpentry. This position will typically work a 40 hour week Monday- Friday. However, flexibility exists to adapt work schedules to individual needs on a case-by-case basis. Job Duties: The Glendive-area groundskeeper will be responsible for light maintenance duties associated with Makoshika State Park and will support maintenance duties at Fishing Access and Wildlife management sites in the Glendive and Sidney Montana area. These weekly duties include: • Litter/Garbage Collection • Mowing and Trimming • Vault Latrine Cleaning This position will also work in conjunction with other Region 7 Maintenance staff to assist with (but not limited to): noxious weed control, road/parking area maintenance, and carpentry projects. First Aid and CPR certification will be provided.
