Job Title: Hadoop Admin
Location: Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for our Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem including diagnosing and resolving issues related to cluster configuration performance and stability 
• Monitor the health performance and capacity of Cloudera clusters using Cloudera Manager and other monitoring tools and proactively address any anomalies or alerts 
• Respond to support tickets emails and phone calls from internal teams and external clients and ensure timely resolution of technical issues to minimize impact on operations 
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software upgrades patching and configuration changes to keep Cloudera clusters up to date and secure Document support activities including troubleshooting steps resolutions and recommendations in our knowledge base and ticketing system 
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to understand platform requirements and provide recommendations for optimizing Cloudera cluster configurations and performance 
• Participate in on call rotation schedules to provide after hours support and respond to production incidents and emergencies as needed Work closely with vendors and external support teams to escalate complex issues and coordinate resolution efforts 

Specific skills required 

• Experience with Big Data Hadoop CDP Cloudera Private Cloud 
• Experience working in Linux environments 
• Knowledge of industry standard Incident Problem Release and Change Management processes 
• Experience supporting Production Environment 
• Experience troubleshooting issues related to Hadoop Ecosystem components like Hive Spark HBase 
• Experience installing and maintaining Python Libraries 
• Experience with environment and infrastructure integration Capacity management experience Change Management 
• DevOps experience will be a plus Added advantage if has experience in Hortonworks Data Platform MapRs
