Job Description - Inside Sales/Customer Service

Position: Inside Sales/Customer Service

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generates revenue by soliciting new customers.
  • Works closely with Customer Service, Sales, and R&D to identify new customers.
  • Build strong customer relationships and rapport.

Essential Duties:

  • Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotes.
  • Grow existing accounts by reviewing prior customer buying history and recommending new product items.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base of evolving product and service offerings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer product issues and/or concerns.
  • Monitor and process web orders, fax orders, etc.
  • Prepare and send prospect customer samples, follow up with prospect and close.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in marketing, business, or other relevant field. A four-year college degree may be waived as a requirement if there is sufficient experience.
  • Prior experience in transportation, distribution, or warehousing a major plus.
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office 365 as well as CRM knowledge and experience.
  • Strong project management, organizational and time management skills.
  • Critical thinker and a problem solver.
  • Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to drive projects, but also team-chemistry oriented.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors.
  • Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs and installing products, requiring physical activities like bending and kneeling.
