Job Description - Lead Cashier

Job summary
Ulta Beauty is seeking a Lead Cashier to ensure efficiency in guest transactions and maintain cashwrap standards. This position requires cashiering experience and the ability to train and influence peers. The Lead Cashier will drive loyalty results and contribute to achieving goals.
Job seniority: associate level
Responsibilities
• Contribute to meeting store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink. • Provide exceptional service to each guest, including personalized recommendations and handling sales transactions. • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales. • Book appointments and support service execution for an unrivaled guest experience. • Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and fixtures to ensure guest-readiness. • Contribute to an inclusive environment and support teammates, peers, and guests. • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests. • Promote the benefits of the guest loyalty program and create excitement and accountability. • Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates. • Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance. • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards for transactions, dress code, and store cleanliness. • Complete register functions, maintain store standards, and protect company assets. • Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
Requirements
• High school diploma preferred, along with 2 years of relevant work experience. • Ability to delegate, multi-task, problem-solve, and deliver exceptional customer service. • Proven experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires. • Proficiency with basic technology, excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently, build strong customer relationships, and react under pressure. • Must be at least 18 years old and able to work a flexible schedule.
