Job Description - Logistics / Sourcing Specialist

Job Description Summary Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics/Sourcing Specialist to join the Services Technology Acceleration Center (STAC) team in Springdale, Ohio. The responsible person will support the daily execution of logistics/sourcing activities in conjunction with shipping/receiving activities. In addition, this role coordinates with both internal and external customers, creates work assignments and expedites the flow of material through the STAC facility. Main duties would include receiving and processing incoming and outgoing stock materials and chemicals. Familiarization with ERP System and Inventory Control Management. Job Description Overall Responsibilities :
  • Transportation: Understand logistics between assembly sites to effectively deliver for the customer. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping and customs regulations.
  • Receiving and Processing: Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documents. Receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments and outgoing stock and materials using SAP/ERP system. Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
  • D ata Entry and Inventory Control: Update and maintain master data inventory records in SAP/ERP systems, input, and update inventory information in the SAP. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions. Monitor inventory levels and stock availability to ensure adequate supply and prevent stock outs.
  • Supply Chain: Generate reports on inventory status, stock movements, and trends for management review. Coordinate with warehouse staff, purchasing departments, and suppliers to manage inventory replenishment and stock allocation. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control and data management. Provide timely and accurate information on shipment status, delivery dates, and inventory availability to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Customer Service and Quality: Effectively manage customer relationships by building rapport, addressing concerns, and exceeding customer expectations along with resolving shipping and receiving issues. Perform quality checks and inspections of parts produced. Develop and implement logistics cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or service. Maintain comprehensive quality assurance procedures, guidelines, and training materials for customer service representatives.
Essential Responsibilities :
  • Manage shortages to maximize clear to build and on time starts/finishes.
  • Collaborate with ops team to provide output commitments.
  • Collaborate with ops team to ensure resources are appropriately allocated and aligned to achieve the plan.
  • The applicant must be a good team player flexible and be able to work to tight schedules.
  • Ability to demonstrate high performance within a Warehouse/Fulfilment environment and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Invoice queries and issue resolution.
  • Conduct daily walks on the warehouse floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues/problem shelves.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications :
  • Associates degree or High School diploma / GED with 3+ years of experience as a buyer, or in supply chain, materials or production scheduling.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics.
Desired Characteristics :
  • Experience in manufacturing or warehousing preferred.
  • Change management focused on process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP experience would be ideal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to read, write with strong oral and written communication skills in English.
