Chapman Chevrolet is looking for highly skilled Automotive Service Technicians to join our team! Our qualified technicians are well versed in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to help our customers keep their vehicles on the road. When you join the Chapman Chevrolet Service Department, you become part of a tight-knit team, where you will work closely with other technicians, Service Advisors and the Parts Department. This role reports to the Service Management team.

Core Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Execute work specified on the repair order per dealership standards
- Communicate additional services needed to the Service Advisor, providing an estimate of time needed to complete additional repairs
- Complete warranty repair work in compliance with manufacturer specifications
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience performing vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance required; heavy line and transmissions experience is highly preferred
- ASE and/or GM certifications are desirable
- Must have your own tools
- Concentrated and thorough, demonstrating strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- General computer skills
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check
Hours and Work Environment
The Service Department is open Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm and Saturday 7am - 5pm. We ask that all candidates have the availability to work any of the days and times listed. This is an onsite position at our dealership located in Tempe, where our technicians enjoy a state-of-the-art shop.
