Job Description - Manager of Philanthropic Resources

*InTulsa is partnering with A New Leaf  to find candidates for this exciting role in Tulsa***Location: Tulsa, OK. This is an onsite position for those already in Tulsa, OK or willing to relocate to Tulsa, OK**

Intro:
Support the mission of A New Leaf, Inc. (ANL) through the execution of multiple development strategies to fund programs, operations, and special campaigns. The MoPR will oversee a portfolio of current and prospective donors, with an emphasis on increasing the base of support from corporations and mid-tier individuals. MoPR will actively seek out prospective donors to grow the fundraising impact. In addition, the MoPR leads efforts in ANL’s annual event, Garden Gala, and other campaigns in accordance with ANL’s mission.


How you will make an impact: Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage portfolio of prospective donors.
  • Manage any volunteer fundraising boards as needed.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Proactively implement the principles of fundraising through all stages of the donor development cycle.
  • Effectively manage prospective donor portfolio through strong prospecting to identify and engage donors or strengthen the case for support.
  • Demonstrate project management skills through setting deadlines, and when needed, engaging peers and team members in the project timeline.
  • Consistently meet donor activity metrics.
  • Track and manage key fundraising milestones.
  • Maintain accurate financial and donor records.
  • Provide accurate written and oral reports as requested.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to benefit the mission of the organization.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, including dependable vehicle/transportation to and from work, and automobile insurance coverage, to ensure you are eligible to operate company vehicles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines through good planning, scheduling, and follow-through.
  • Work flexible schedule based on the those served by and the needs of A New Leaf, Inc., including but not limited to working scheduled evenings or weekends based on the department/event need.
  • Positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and an expressed desire to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to thrive and be productive equally in a team oriented or autonomous environment. Good problem-solving skills, sound decision-making skills, self-confidence,initiative, flexibility, enthusiasm, curiosity, creativity, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement in developing proposals, programs, and collateral to meet the needs of the organization and donors.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years related experience in fundraising or business development.
  • Must have documented track record of acquiring individual and corporate gifts through prospecting, cultivation, asking, and then stewarding.
  • Must have strong knowledge of the entire donor development life cycle (identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship).


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 30lbs.

A New Leaf’s mission is to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with life skills, marketable job training through horticultural therapy, community-based vocational placement, and residential services to increase their independence and individual choices. A New Leaf was established in 1979 to provide horticultural-related job training to adults with developmental disabilities. A New Leaf began with one greenhouse, one staff and served two individuals. By 1980 A New Leaf, grew to serve 13 individuals. In 1986, A New Leaf built its first 12,000 sq. ft. greenhouse and vocational training facility. Then in September 2013, acquired Homelife Association. Through the acquisition, A New Leaf began operating two group homes and providing 24-hour assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities living independently. Today, A New Leaf is honored to serve 325 individuals with developmental disabilities and autism through employment in five greenhouses, two retail centers, community job sites, students in the classroom, and individuals in residences. #Li-onsite
