Mortgage Servicing Specialist

Position Summary

The Mortgage Servicing Specialist is responsible for providing the daily mortgage services developed by Xtend and our credit union partners. This involves processing daily participant and escrow payments, handling credit union mail, and more.

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide daily mortgage services for credit unions in accordance with daily run sheets, policies, and procedures.
2. Perform regular tasks including opening, sorting, and posting credit union payments and deposits received in the mail from membership, processing member payments on sold loans, and reporting and remitting to investor the activity and payments.
3. Process escrow disbursements on members accounts for insurance, taxes, private mortgage insurance (PMI), and other business.
4. Provide end of month services for the credit unions including processing standard participation and monthly balancing.
5. Perform extra balancing projects for credit unions with approval from management.
6. Maintain an open line of communication with credit union contacts.
7. Complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives.

Job Qualifications

1. High School graduate or equivalent is required.
2. Two-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
4. A minimum of 1 year of experience in mortgage services is preferred.
5. Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
6. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
7. Take responsibility for increasing job knowledge and credit union operations.

Work Environment & Physical Activities

Xtend operates in a professional office building setting. Some job assignments at Xtend are primarily conducted within the office building(s) while others have moderate to extensive travel responsibilities as described in the Job Functions and/or Job Qualifications section(s) above.
