Compensation: $75,000 to $100,000

Job Summary
The Parts Team Lead plays a crucial role in coordinating and leading the parts sales team, ensuring efficient communication between vendors, service teams, and customers. This position is responsible for achieving sales targets, overseeing order fulfillment, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a strategic approach to sales, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Adaptability to a dynamic work environment is essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the parts sales team to achieve sales targets and organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Provide guidance to team members on complex sales transactions, including problem-solving and complaint resolution.
- Collaborate with vendors to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the team to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Uphold a customer-centric approach by ensuring timely responses to inquiries and maintaining strong relationships.
- Oversee the accurate recording of data in the IDM system and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive weekly updates during team meetings, escalating issues as necessary.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the success of the parts sales team.
Key Performance Indicators
- Team Sales Performance: The overall sales performance of the parts team against set targets.
- Customer Satisfaction: Feedback and ratings from customers regarding the parts sales process and service.
- Order Fulfillment Accuracy: The percentage of orders processed without errors.
- Team Productivity: The efficiency and effectiveness of the parts sales team in achieving objectives.
Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and safety procedures.
- Proven leadership experience in a sales role, preferably in the marine and power plant industry.
- Excellent analytical skills for evaluating alternative solutions and approaches.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Technical sales knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in negotiation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents is advantageous.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience in leadership within a similar field.
- Sales experience is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role operates in a professional office environment and may involve occasional travel. Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, printers, and scanners is expected.
