Position Overview:
The Parts Runner position is an integral part of operations. This position comes with the responsibility of expedient parts pick up and delivery to facilitate timely equipment repairs. This position comes with the potential for further career development and the opportunity to gain an understanding of operations.
Essential Duties:
Picks up and/or receives parts/supplies from vendors and delivers to mechanics or shop inventory as instructed.
Helps facilitate receipt of deliveries and may need to operate forklift to load/unload items. Sort deliveries and put into designated storage areas. Keep storage areas, parts containers, and shelves clean and organized.
Shuttles company vehicles to service vendors for maintenance and oil changes as requested.
Shuttles employees to drop off locations
Performs courier duties between company locations and main office.
Maintains accurate inventory schedules for management as requested. Give BOLs, delivery tags, or other relevant paperwork to staff as directed.
Maintains assigned company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner.
Other Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
Consistent attendance is required. Must be able to manage time efficiently with limited supervision.
Working Conditions.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, occasional overtime
Work Attire: Comfortable, Clean Attire - Work Pants, Plain T-Shirt or Company shirt, close toed shoes.
PPE: Safety Vest and Hard Hat, Steel Toed Boots on occasion

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Skills/Knowledge:
Math: Uses basic math functions to perform daily tasks.
Reading: Must be able to read and understand equipment requirements and specifications.
Licenses: Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
Certifications: Forklift Operation or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
MSHA Certification or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
First Aid/AED/CPR Certification or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience : Minimum 1 year related experience preferred, within industrial repair shop or automotive/equipment repair setting. Experience with parts inventory a preferred.
Other : Working knowledge of Word , Excel, Access, Email. Adaptable to in-house software. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete tasks in a timely manner.
