The Payer Services Specialist position will be performing assigned tasks related to prior authorizations, recertifications, and insurance verifications for potential admissions and therapy services as identified. The Payer Services Specialist will be cross trained in coordinating residents’ access to services by gathering information to obtain verification and authorization from various insurance payers. This position will be responsible for tracking and troubleshooting issues to ensure timely authorization is obtained and limit risk of nonpayment.

 

This will be a part-time or PRN position on the weekends.

• High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or business or related field preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years healthcare insurance experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, long-term care environment preferred, healthcare billing or managed care organization.
