We're seeking an Assistant Director of Advanced Solutions to join our dynamic Nonqualified Plan Consulting team! In this role, you will play a vital part in addressing complex tax and regulatory issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of programs for participants, employers, and advisors. Your responsibilities will encompass: - Offering specialized expertise, analysis, and recommendations on intricate scenarios related to tax codes, particularly Internal Revenue Code Section 409A and 457, including aiding in IRS corrections procedures.
- Delivering prompt and accurate responses to inquiries, offering insights on plan design, products, and service-related matters, while also managing relationships effectively.
- Keeping abreast of legislative, regulatory, and tax-related developments, providing updates to management, and contributing to the development of communication materials for distribution to stakeholders.
- Crafting clear and actionable communications on sophisticated topics, tailored for participants, employers, and internal staff.
- Identifying training needs and developing educational content on nonqualified deferred compensation for both internal and external partners.
- Maintaining a high level of expertise in tax and legal matters, and contributing to strategic planning and policy development. - Hold a CPA designation with 7+ years of relevant experience; OR
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (preferred), along with 10+ years of related experience.
- Understanding of nonqualified benefits programs and familiarity with pertinent sections of the Internal Revenue Code, such as 409A and 457.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal laws related to tax planning and business insurance, alongside an appreciation of product features and market trends.
- FINRA Series 6 registration required, or must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
