Omni Tempe Hotel at ASUis seeking an experiencedLine Cookto join the Neighborhood Services team of our brand-new upscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU provides Tempe with 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space, and four new food and beverage outlets. We expect to provide elevated options for our guests for dining and entertainment.

This is the most senior of our open cook positions. This full-time role is for the AM (breakfast and lunch) shift at our upscale restaurant Neighborhood Services.

Responsibilities

+ Works alongside the Chef de cuisine and kitchen supervisor to assist with coordination of all hot and cold foods.

+ Must have a good working relation with the culinary team and should be in direct communication constantly to ensure counts, vessels and items are proper.

+ Communicate with the Stewarding department on all banquet equipment needed to perform a banquet.

+ Conducts daily and weekly standup meetings

+ Oversees proper care of and cleanliness of kitchen.

Qualifications

+ Culinary experience in a hotel or resort team.

+ Completion of culinary degree or certificate program is preferred.

+ Candidate must be creative and up to speed on new concepts and food trends.

+ Arizona food handlers certified.

+ Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

+ Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

+ Flexibility scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
