JOB TITLE:
Student Success Services Project Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE:
Under limited supervision, design, coordinate, implement, and deliver services to SSS-eligible UW students (first generation, low-income students and students with disabilities) with the goal of helping them to maintain good academic standing, persist in college, and earn a degree in a timely manner. The services you provide through one-on-one holistic advising are intended to mitigate the barriers to educational achievement commonly found among disadvantaged students and include promoting good habits and skills to facilitate student success in the academic, career, personal, and financial spheres. Please Note: This position is grant-funded and is 'at-will' employment. This is a 10-month position. The work calendar for this position runs from the last week of July through the last Friday of May.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and provide appropriate, individualized services and undertake group workshops and training for eligible participants. Independently recruit and serve eligible students under federal and SEO guidelines. Develop and maintain relationships with UW advisors, departments, and other organizations .and lead collaborative initiatives to further postsecondary access and success for participants. Maintain strict compliance with federal legislation, federal regulations, and OMB directives as well as UW and SEO policies and procedures. Undertake small- and large-scale event planning. Market program services and successes to the public. Collect, verify, and document extensive participant data and educational outcomes in an accurate and timely manner. Use Microsoft Office programs daily to complete tasks and present information.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide training to program and activity support staff. Supervise hourly staff. Serve on committees and represent the project at meetings and events

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
2 years work-related experience Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy .
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree Knowledge of issues affecting college student success and retention Proven ability to motivate students to undertake actions and activities that promote their academic and personal success Instructional experience at the postsecondary level Experience working with TRIO-eligible student populations (low-income, first-generation college students, non-traditional students, and students with disabilities) Familiarity or experience working with federal educational grants under accountability standards Attention to detail and timely completion of assignments. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
