Job Description - Subpoena Processing Clerk

Salary Range : $ 75,000 - $ 118,700 

Incentive : PIP 5%

Job Summary

The Subpoena Processing Clerk (SPC) is responsible for the intake, processing, response, and filing of legal requests for information to include subpoenas, protection orders, and other related legal requests related to PSEG assets. The SPC will be Corporate Security's main point of contact with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and other external entities in order to facilitate legal requests for information or other data, to include but not limited to customer records and transactions, or PSEG video/audio telephone and or video recordings. The SPC must use discretion and sound judgement in the handling of restricted or sensitive and confidential information ensuring the security and confidentiality of restricted information.

Job Responsibilities

  • Intake, process and respond to legal requests for information in accordance with applicable regulations, laws, and procedures
  • Track, record, and liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement and/or other external entities regarding legal requests for information
  • Research and compile data for subpoena compliance, provide information to other law enforcement agencies, courts, and attorneys in accordance with legal requirements governing the release of records
  • Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures related to the Subpoena Processing Program
  • Support other administrative Corporate Security requests, initiatives, and projects

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 or more years of relevant work experience, or, in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 6 or more years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Suite, Strong Time Management and Organizational skills, Exceptional Professional Judgement, and verbal and written communication skills 

Desired

  • Experience within the Utility Industry and in responding to Law Enforcement Inquires and Requests
