Kwik Trip Inc. Our Retail Service Team is responsible for the repair and maintenance at our 800+ Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Kwik Spirits, Stop ‘N’ Go and Tobacco Outlet Plus Grocery stores. We are looking for a highly motivated, hard-working and change orientated individual to help us ensure our stores’ equipment is operating properly. This is our mid-level technician who is primarily responsible for corrective maintenance as well as various inspections and preventative maintenance functions on Kwik Trip’s store facilities and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to all small appliances, HVAC-R equipment, carwashes, security equipment, and all petroleum related equipment. Example of responsibilities include, but are not limited to troubleshoot, analyze, and repair problems related to equipment as required, recommend replacement of equipment, inspect all fuel equipment and accurately document inspection results, communicate site deficiencies that will require further action. As a relief position, this individual would work in a variety of areas in our market. Overnight stays are common when covering different areas in our market.

• Starting Pay $22/hour with a possible increase after 90 days. 

Qualifications: Candidates must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.; minimum 1 year of similar work experience; mechanical aptitude; ability to read and comprehend state and federal regulations; knowledge of safety procedures to provide a safe environment for customers and co-workers at Kwik Trip, Inc.; basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and general maintenance, small appliances, HVAC-R, car wash, security equipment, petroleum experience is a plus. Additional qualifications include:

• Ability to implement and execute plans.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details and effectively work independently without supervision.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Valid driver’s license and a good driving record; Candidate must currently reside or be willing to relocate to the Wilmar, MN area. Starting rate of pay is $22.00 per hour.

Physical requirements: frequently stand/walk up to 8+ hours; lift up to 75 pounds; bend/squat/twist and stoop/kneel/crouch frequently; grasp/pinch/grip frequently; work in a variety of weather temperatures/conditions.

Work Schedule: 40-50 hours per week. Typically, Monday through Friday daytime hours; however, occasionally there will be on call responsibilities including evening and weekend shifts as needed and frequent overnight stays.
