RV Service Technician

Optimum RV, a growing full-service RV Dealer, is seeking multi-talented RV Service Technicians!

Responsibilities: 

• RV Technicians examine, troubleshoot, and diagnose units that need repair. 

• Install, repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers, truck campers, tent trailers and van conversions.  

• Repair and perform maintenance on propane gas and electric appliances such as furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, ranges and air conditioners. 

• Repairs to fiberglass, body and structural components and the ability to install, repair, replace and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vent, awnings, floor coverings, cabinets and electrical systems. 

• Install trailer and fifth wheel hitches, wire tow vehicles and perform routine maintenance and or repairs on the trailer frames, undercarriage and suspensions. 

• Use of testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to repair to manufacturers’ specifications 

• Use of manuals, catalogues, and internet search as needed to perform proper diagnostics 

• Use of electronic and computerized instruments to perform diagnostics 

• All other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED equivalent 

• Appropriate certification completion for any field of experience ( I.E. propane gas certification or welding certification) 

• RVIA/RVDA certifications - preferred 

• Experience with Heavy Truck, Diesel and Chassis- Preferred 

• Experience with finish level carpentry and trim work- Highly Preferred
