Job Description - Senior Secretary Health Services Division

Senior Secretary Health Services Division Location Chattanooga, TN : Description The Hamilton County Health Department has a responsibility to respond quickly and efficiently when public health emergencies occur. All Hamilton County Health Department employees are responsible for ensuring their contact information is current and they are accessible should a public health emergency arise. The Hamilton County Health Department maintains a call down system to store contact information and mobilize staff in the event of an emergency. During a public health emergency, all staff are required to respond should a call to mobilize be made. During a public health emergency, work hours for any and all Hamilton County Health Department employees are subject to modification to meet the needs of the community. Under close supervision, performs advanced skill secretarial duties such as special projects, assuming administrative duties for a Director, or other designated office group. Composition, office coordination, data gathering and reporting, and may provide lead supervision of others. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, physical requirements, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics. Minimum Qualifications The equivalent of a High School Diploma and three (3) years of secretarial work experience. Must type 45 words per minute. Must possess a valid driver's license. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Work requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing and walking; extensive computer keyboarding; occasional lifting of up to ten (10) lbs.
