Job Description - Service Director & Partner

Join our team at a new Michelin-aspiring restaurant nestled in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Led by our visionary chef-owner, we strive for culinary excellence, offering our guests an unforgettable dining experience. We are dedicated to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where every detail, from the menu to the service, is crafted with care and passion. We are slated to open Autumn 2024.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Director who not only excels in hospitality management but is also interested in becoming a business partner in our venture. In this dual role, you will oversee the front-of-house operations, ensuring impeccable service delivery, while also playing a pivotal role in the business development aspect by fostering investor relationships and contributing to the growth and success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Excellence: Lead and inspire our service team to deliver exceptional hospitality, maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, training, inventory management, and maintaining quality control.
  • Business Development: Actively seek opportunities to bring investors into the business, contributing to financial growth and sustainability.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the chef-owner to develop budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize revenue streams.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic decision-making processes to drive the restaurant's long-term success and growth.
  • Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with local stakeholders, fostering a sense of community around the restaurant.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the restaurant professionally at industry events, networking functions, and community gatherings.

Qualifications:

  • Hospitality Expertise: Extensive experience in restaurant management, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service in a high-volume, fine dining environment.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to contribute to the financial success of a restaurant through strategic planning, budgeting, and revenue optimization.
  • Investor Relations: Experience in cultivating investor relationships and securing funding for business ventures.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing staff members.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
