Service Quote Writer
About the position:
The Service Quote Writer will work with the Technicians and Service Managers to drive consistency throughout all aspects of the quote to order process. This role will order all parts once a quote is approved. This role will review all Call Summaries to ensure that we are billing contract repairs that are not covered under maintenance contract.
This position will report to the Service Manager(s).

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Daily audit of technician Call Summaries to discover any repair items not reported.
- Responsible for creating Service quotes for post service and support. Would need to c onsult with Field Techs and Service Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Works with supply vendors to ensure cost effective options.
- Enter data into customer portals when needed.
- Scan/attach back-up documents into the quoting system.
- Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Service Manager(s).
- Procure Parts for approved quotes and ones needed for contract repairs.
- Willing to follow-up continuously on ordered parts.
- Ensure delivery of parts and coordinate with Service Coordinator(s) to schedule repairs.
- Follow up with customers on parts status and/or unapproved quotes.
- Coordinates with project team to hand off information for unit replacements and expanded scope projects.
- Track rate of quote acceptance and quotes outstanding.
- Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
Secondary Duties
- Assist OSC's when they have questions.
- Fill in for OSC during lunches or absences.
Qualifications preferred for job candidates:
- Must Be a Fanatic about Response Time for both internal and external customers!
- Strong knowledge of HVAC
- Exceptional communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management/organizational skills with the ability to meet important deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills
- Great Plains/Key2Act experience a plus
- Need to have good attendance as it is crucial to be able to turn quotes around in a timely manner.
