Your Responsibilities

As a Mobile Software Developer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group, you will join a team in delivering John Deere Operations Center mobile applications. Out digital products enable our customers to leverage precision agriculture technology to get the most out of their equipment and farming operation. The responsibilities for this role include:

• Develop and support high-quality John Deere software solutions for user-facing mobile applications

• Engaging in all aspects of the software delivery cycle including the design, build, test, deploy, and support of software applications

• Engaging in Agile software development activities including team sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives

• Collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and other supporting teams to define product requirements and system design

• Supporting a culture of software craftsmanship best practices including Test Automation and Continuous Integration

• Interfacing regularly with customers to ensure technical solutions are meeting their needs

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)

• Experience in native iOS or Android development

• Experience in computer programming with at least one of the following: Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Java

• Experience in roles that required strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem solving skills

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)

• Experience with other programming languages such as Ruby, Python, HTML

• Experience with RESTful web services (JSON)

• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud

• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)

• Experience with developing SQL/NoSQL DBMSs

• Experience with continuous integration and build systems

Education Details

• Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS, or other IT related discipline
