Job Description - Special Event Venue Technical Producer I, IT Services
DESCRIPTION
The hybrid Technical Producer role provides customer-centric event production services and overall event technical support at the highest level possible, for the IT Services Event Productions team and its dedicated customers. Successful team members will be able to step seamlessly into a corporate events, studio, and livestream environments, have a good understanding of end-to-end transmission chain, excellent show planning skills, have strong organizational skills, ability to work across multiple teams and cultures, demonstrate impeccable customer service, and be energetically driven to meet the needs of customers and the team. Key job responsibilities Responsibilities include: • Responsible for the management and execution of all technical production deliverables throughout scope and design, budgeting, pre-production, on-site, and post production stages of an event. • Supports Producer and System/Production engineering teams and customers • Technical Management of event production, studio, broadcast, and IT systems • Collaborates with internal teams to determine all technical production requirements • Identifies technical issues and provides solutions • Maintains multiple meetings operations calendars and databases • Improves efficiencies, and works to optimize standard processes • Coordinates and improves project-related data and reporting • Works on defined projects, with straightforward goals • Able to identify blockers, troubleshoot effectively, and facilitate progress • Seeks opportunities to help others improve skillsets and knowledge base • Supports producer operations at new event venues and locations • Promptly, thoroughly, professionally communicate with team, customers, and business partners. • Proactively engage with production team to pursue process improvements. • Contribute as a subject matter expert in the field of audio/visual production. • Program and operate live events with autonomy, taking the customers’ ideas and delivering an outstanding product. • Ensure industry best practices are followed with a safety-first mindset. Pre-event: • Lead the overall integration of an event’s technical aspects • Working with event planner and lead producer to plan and coordinate all technical requirements, such as sound, lighting, video, and staging. • Oversees vendor estimates and labor costs • Coordinates technical resource scheduling for equipment and labor • Coordinates any necessary technical testing or technical rehearsals • Able to support media playback and presentation methods • Clearly communicates with all team members and stakeholders • Coordinates personal travel arrangements, schedules, and expenses • Collaborates with venue vendor team(s) to ensure the event’s technical requirements are met • Event setup and technical coordination of assigned systems. • Recommend technical resource scheduling for equipment and labor script. • Thorough testing of equipment use cases ahead of event. • Clear communication with all team members. Event execution: • Dedicated onsite support for assigned customers • Coordinates with customer and or vendor event planner staff during event operations on a run of show changes or working through any technical challenges • Optimizes audio, video, lighting and staging for the best quality attainable • Dynamically flex to customer needs and adapt to complications • Operational technical services for assigned events. • Optimizing systems for the best quality attainable. • Technical leadership of vendor engineers when required. • Dynamically flex to client needs and changes. Post-event: • Leads proper strike of event venue • Promptly collaborates with producer(s) and post production on get any post-event deliverables started and then handed-off to customer • Coordinates any post-event expenditures or charge back cost • Assist with strike of event space(s), ensuring correct equipment handling and storage. • Participate in post-event feedback discussions/surveys. • This is a full time, 40/hr week position with adaptive event hours (not necessarily normal business hours). We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Seattle, WA, USA
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- • 4+ years in event or production coordination - • 4+ years in project management - • Advanced understanding of Broadcast Operations, Event Production technology, Livestream relationship between codecs and bandwidth, accessibility technology, and stage design - • Scheduling and calendaring management - • Deep knowledge of event billing processes - • Desire to travel across AMER
