Structural Design Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring a Structural Design Engineer in Albuquerque, NM, with an industry leader in their field.
Our client offers innovative access to general aviation by bringing together a line of products suited to the missions and budgets of individuals and businesses.
As a Structural Design Engineer you will:
Provide technical leadership for and participate in design projects resulting in FAA certification of new aircraft & aircraft systems. You will create three dimensional designs using Siemens NX inside a Teamcenter PDM support for existing and upcoming programs.
Responsibilities will include :

• Act as lead for assigned design projects
• Act as technical lead, liaison and/or support for FAA-related topics, including certification & field support.
• Design aircraft primary and secondary structure, assemblies & installations
• Provide structural design engineering support to internal and external customers
• Participate in optimization initiatives, including weigh reduction, cost & time improvement

This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:

• BS Degree or higher in aerospace or related field work experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience using Siemens NX (NX2 or higher) design software or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance symbology and practices
• Minimum of 5 years aircraft structural design and/or analysis experience

Pay Range: $82,000-110,000 per year.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
