Technical Services Veterinarian

The field professional services veterinarian is designed to support the technical needs of the sales regions, universities, and key opinion leaders. In doing so, this individual will interact with our customer base on a technical level, giving presentations at various venues local and national, and train sales representatives on the use of technical data during sales calls.

The professional services veterinarian will coach sales reps on technical selling. The professional services veterinarian will also assist in the preparation of presentations and serve in a technical capacity on marketing brand teams.

This position will be field based within our Pacific Northwest Region (WA, OR, HI, AK)

Responsibilities:

+ Participate in technical “ride-withs” and “in-services” with the sales force

+ Serve as the region’s technical expert, evaluating regional and individual technical training needs of the representatives and coaching sales reps in technical selling skills

+ Prepare and deliver technical lectures on our product line to VMA’s and professional veterinary organizations

+ Teach sales training classes to our sales representatives and distributor sales representatives

+ Report back to headquarters on new trends in veterinary medicine

+ Meet with key opinion leaders and veterinary school faculty to discuss potential new business opportunities

+ Represent the Company at Veterinary Schools, Professional Veterinary Associations and Conferences

+ Monitor Phase IV market support trials

+ Execute responsibilities with a high degree of independence

+ Assist Marketing Liaisons as needed with preparation of presentations and marketing communications

Position Qualifications :

Education Minimum Requirement:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine ( DVM / VMD ) degree

Required Experience and Skills:

+ 5 years relevant work experience. Relevant experience includes any of the following: Private practice (Companion Animal), Specialty Practice and/or other Industry/ Research experience

+ Excellent presentation skills

+ Excellent oral and written communications skills

+ Competency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

+ Must be able to work effectively with our customers and our sales force

+ Practical and industrial experience

+ Demonstrated self-motivation

+ Ability to work independently

Preferred Experience and Skills:

+ Experience with companion animal vaccines and parasiticides

+ Board Certification or additional advanced degrees in a relevant veterinary specialty

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$101,100.00 – $159,100.00
