VMWare NSX Engineer

• 5+ years of relevant experience with design, configuration, and management of networking virtualization solutions
• Prior work experience with VMware products and networking solutions
• Prior work experience with troubleshooting networking issues (L2-L7) Innovative debugging skills
• Providing security and network support for physical networking and firewall services
• Ensuring network reliability and availability through well-planned and implemented solution
• Developing, maintaining, and supporting networks in NSX/NSX-T
• Monitoring integration with other software-defined networking technologies
• Improving network manageability and scalability
• Supporting the operations and maintenance of the VMware virtual infrastructure
• Maintaining VMware vROps and reporting for confirmation, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Improving customized outlines using NSX, vRA, and vRO to automate and simplify tasks
• Review and implement NSX-T configuration for application migrations into the VMCoD platform, and new application deployments, while ensuring to adhere to platform standards and application design documentation.
• Including configuration of NSX-T DFW Rules, Segments, Objects, VM Tagging, Review of design documentation, Participation in design discussions, & Coordination with additional teams
• Including “Day-2” NSX-T configuration change requests(Rules, Objects, Tags, etc.), & trouble isolation and remediation on NSX-T

 Practical experience with Splunk queries / dashboards / reporting

 VMware vRealize Operations Manager (vROps)

 Analysis and troubleshooting network performance and capacity issues/concerns involving guest
