Job Summary:
The Weekend Caregiver at Village Caregiving - Clarksburg is responsible for providing quality and compassionate care to clients in their own homes. This is a Part Time - hourly Healthcare / Medical job that requires an individual contributor. The job is situated in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The Weekend Caregiver will work on weekends, from Friday evening to Sunday evening, and will be paid on an hourly basis. The individual in this role will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their families.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Weekend Caregiver will be compensated at a rate of $12-$14 per hour, paid semimonthly. In addition, they will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team, receive ongoing training and development, and have flexible scheduling options. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Engage in meaningful activities with clients, such as conversations and games
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health status
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the Village Caregiving team
- Adhere to all safety protocols and follow infection control measures
- Attend and actively participate in training and development programs
- Other duties as assigned by the Village Caregiving management team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in providing caregiving services preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient nature
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to follow directions and adhere to care plans
