Position: 2024-2025 School Year - Science Special Education Teacher
Position Summary: We are seeking an instructor for a high school Science Special Education teaching position at Ridgewood High School for the 2024-2025 school year. Chemistry or Biology certification is preferred. The candidate may fulfill roles in various settings including resource, in-class resource, LLD, and/or facilitate a consultative model.
Qualifications: - New Jersey Teacher of Chemistry or Teacher of Biology Certification and NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities Endorsement or New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped Certification
- Experience working in both inclusion and resource settings and working with special education students in grades 9-12
- Knowledgeable about progress monitoring of goals and objectives, writing PLAAFPs, and overall IEP compliance
- Skilled in strategic instruction in the NJ Student Learning Standards for English
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated in his/her pursuit of professional growth
Start Date: August 28, 2024 plus 3 days NTO
Working Conditions: 10 month, full-time, tenure-track position, salary as per negotiated contract with benefits
