The Bilingual (English/Spanish) Early Childhood Home Educator provides Early Head Start child development educational services, social services, health services and parent involvement services to children age birth through three years and pregnant mothers. The Educator/Visitor will provide up to 90 minute home visits to birth to 3 years of age clients weekly; and up to 90 minute visits to pregnant mothers and families with the frequency and duration determined by the pregnant mother and family.

Signing Bonus: $2,000.00
Hourly Rate: $22.5824 per Hour
Annual Salary: $41,100.00
Schedule: 35 Hours Per Week - Monday through Friday

The Children's Home Society will provide all New Hires with Child Development Associate training and course materials as they work towards certification.
- The Home Educator provides Early Head Start child development educational services, social services, health services and parent involvement services to children age birth through three years and their families:
- Provide child development, parent education and family support on home visits to families of infants and toddlers and expectant mothers.
- Create and maintain respectful partnerships with families
- Plan for and facilitate parent-child interactions groups and parent support groups.
- Provide developmentally appropriate curriculum and a caring, nurturing, and soothing environment for infants and toddlers. Develops in partnership with parents an individual development plan for each child.
- Develop Family Partnership Agreements with each family and supports families in achieving their goals.
- Responsible for case management. Conducts regular, case reviews of all Early Head Start files and cases assigned. Completes home visits, case recording and other responsibilities in case management. Establish and maintain a current and accurate record keeping system, within program procedures, with adequate provisions for confidentiality. Ensure all child/family files are up to date and accurate. Complete data entry and ensures data entry for all enrolled families.
- Adhering to Head Start ERSEA regulations assist and coordinate successful completion of recruitment, screening/assessment, and enrolling of eligible children and their families.
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma - A CDA Credential must be obtained and maintained within the first year of employment.
