Body Shop Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This involves working with a variety of materials such as metal, plastic, and fiberglass, as well as using specialized tools and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities

• Perform all body and fender repairs according to the estimate
• Perform welding, soldering, body alignment if needed
• Identify and determine parts required for repair
• Complete vehicle repairs in accordance with the dealer and factory standards
• Attention to detail to ensure repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner
• Road test vehicles when necessary
• Maintain area in an orderly and clean manner
• Understand regulations for disposal of hazardous materials
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with windows and ADP/CDK systems preferred.
• Ability to perform accurate estimates of repairs
• Knowledge of the latest equipment and tools for body repair
• Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
