The Boston office of SmithGroup is looking for a Health Education Design Strategist to join our team.
Working with us, you will:
Serve as a nationally visible Health Education Leader through thought leadership, project work and business development efforts
Lead in winning work, delivering innovating programming, planning, and/or design, and providing project oversight in conjunction with our Higher Education Market Director, Higher Education Design Strategists and various Local Studio Leaders
Serve as key leadership on projects within the Health Education market
Oversee relationships for Health Education clients
Develop design concepts, define project requirements and provide recommendations specific to Health Education architectural design and infrastructure
Strengthen and grow SmithGroup’s national market expertise
Provide mentorship to junior, mid-level and senior level interiors/architecture staff throughout the design process to assure proper design development, technical guidance and career growth
Lead meetings with internal / external team members and project stakeholders defining key goals and objectives
Serve as pursuit champion for project pursuits and interviews
Responsible for thought leadership representing SmithGroup including public/industry speaking and contributing to publications
Has 15+ years of experience and a professional degree in Architecture
Is a licensed architect (preferred)
Is an expert or thought leader in the Health Education market
Possesses expertise in the full range of health education planning and design for programs in dental education, nursing education, public health, rural medicine, medical education, simulation technology or allied health
Comfort with technology tools for virtual collaboration and mobile work
Excellent presentation and communication skills, including experience delivering presentations to management groups and higher education leadership
Confidence in facilitating strategic conversations
Experience in responding to Request for Proposals
Strong business development skills, including considerable experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a client base
Has a portfolio of Higher Education and Health Education projects
Is client and externally focused; consistently builds and maintains client relationships, and can effectively intervene in client issues
Is a proven collaborator; communicates well, designs and leads processes
Has exceptional organizational skills; sets clear goals, follows up on execution
Can travel when required and is comfortable in overseas markets
