Description: 

Provides spiritual care, sacramental/sacerdotal functions, and worship opportunities to meet the spiritual, emotional and psychological needs of patients, families and hospital staff.  May require enrollment in or completion of MDiv degree program or its equivalent.Participates with Staff Chaplains in the coordination of spiritual care for the patients and staff of CHI Memorial Health Care System, Inc. Communicates regularly with the medical, nursing and other hospital staff to identify patients with spiritual and/or emotional needs. Responds to referrals for spiritual and/or emotional care.Provides spiritual care and guidance to patients, families and hospital staff.  Provides sacramental and sacerdotal functions for patients, families and hospital staff.  Participates in support groups and individual ministry with patients, families and hospital staff.  Provides crisis intervention for patients, families and hospital staff.  Participates in the programs of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education at CHI Memorial Health Care System, Inc.  Responds to emergency calls and rotates responsibility for evening, overnight, weekend on call shifts.  Contributes to interdisciplinary patient care plans.  Performs other job related duties as assigned.
