In collaboration with the CCMU Educational Coordinator (ENC) working day shift, this off shift or night coverage ENC role will be responsible for all of the following:
To develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate the Critical Care Medicine Unit's (CCMU) new employee orientation program. To identify CCMU's ongoing staff educational needs and facilitate in-services as appropriate to the needs of the nursing team. To provide, and coordinate nursing focused institutional educational initiatives for unit staff. To design and implement staff development plans. These activities are done in collaboration with the CCMU Nursing Leadership Team. To demonstrate the clinical nursing role through direct patient care, role modeling, and consultation to nursing and other members of the health care team.

ENC- COMPETENT NE
Actual RSAM LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
RSAM levels range from ENC-COMPETENT-NE to ENC-EXPERT-NE TO ENC-MASTERY-NE.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

Hours: 36 hours per week (Expected to staff a minimum of 16 hours per week)
Shift/Hours/Days: Primarily nights and evenings, 8 and 12 hour shifts
Location: University Hospital; 6D, Critical Care Medicine Unit All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
