Job Description - Flight Deck Engineer


Volt is immediately hiring Flight Deck Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK. As Flight Deck Engineer you will:
  • Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Deck Engineer to join our team and provide support for the US and International Flight Deck operations.
  • As a Flight Deck Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, documenting, and maintaining complex electronic and electrical systems for flight deck avionics.
  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand and define complex electronic and electrical system requirements for flight deck avionics.
  • Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop interface specifications for seamless integration of flight deck avionics systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure that system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with specified requirements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for fielded hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in flight deck avionics technology and research potential applications to address company business needs.
This is a 6 Month full time Contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:
Clearance Required: Active Secret Required to Start Technical Skills Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in flight deck avionics, preferably with Commercial Planes.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of electronic and electrical systems, hardware, and software design principles.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and translating complex requirements into practical system designs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical support for fielded hardware and software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in flight deck avionics technology.
  • Knowledge of hardware qualification and aircraft certification
Certification Required: Aircraft Certification. Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Pay Rate: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
