It’s Work That Matters.
Position Summary: The Health Education Coordinator will lead the Family Matters Program, working collaboratively with inpatient and outpatient staff, as well as representatives from community agencies. The primary focus is on providing comprehensive education to patients and families about childhood cancer, blood diseases, and their treatments. This role includes general health education aimed at minimizing the risk of negative health outcomes later in life. The Health Education Coordinator will be a dedicated resource for division-wide educational activities, supporting daily educational opportunities and meeting the growing needs of faculty development, as well as coordinating all rotators, medical students, and Sub-Interns.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years full-time professional experience in development and coordination of instructional programs and materials for health education required.
Preferred hospital-based, pediatric health education experience.
Preferred health educational experience.
Preferred Attributes:
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Bachelor of Science degree in health education or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Master of Science degree in public health/health education preferred.
