The College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA), Office of the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education (UGED) is hiring a lead administrator to join our Management Team. The Undergraduate Education Division is one of four divisions within the largest College on the Ann Arbor Campus. LSA is home to over 1,800 faculty, staff, LEO Lecturers, Graduate Students, and temporary staff.
Undergraduate Education Division
The Undergraduate Education Division includes approximately twenty-five academic and academic support units from across the College dedicated to student exploration, engagement, and learning. We offer curriculum and advising support as well as instructional support for both students and faculty. Many of our academic enrichment programs feature high impact educational experiences, such as study abroad, undergraduate research, and civic engagement. We also serve as an incubator for curricular and co-curricular innovation. Together, we pursue a mission of academic excellence and creativity with a commitment to diversity, access, equity, and inclusion for the students served by the Division and the faculty and staff who advise, teach, guide, and support them.
Lead Administrator
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and dynamic business administration leader who can collaborate with the Associate and Assistant Deans, other administrators, and colleagues to create an effective and robust administrative structure to support and promote undergraduate education. The successful candidate will manage and collaborate on a high volume of tasks and projects with a strong attention to detail while being comfortable with constant change and working in a fast-paced academic environment. This position reports to the UGED Director for Administrative Operations.
The Lead Administrator position is part of a team of three administrators providing units with strategic partnership and guidance on HR, fiscal, procurement and operational policies and procedures. The Lead Administrator executes division-wide managerial projects and strategic initiatives.
This position will provide strategic advice and is responsible for the management of process improvements, policy development and compliance, and internal control compliance in HR, Finance, General Operations, Facilities, and IT Administration. As a team, the administrators ensure the administrative and programmatic activities within the Division are consistent and aligned with the strategic mission of the College and University policies.

This position qualifies for a hybrid work arrangement, based on LSA's current model. Staff are expected to work on-campus at least 3 days per week.
