Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist, under direct supervision, utilize specialized knowledge and skills to produce high quality mammographic images for screening and/or diagnosis for specified patient population. This position is responsible to complete required documentation for MQSA/ACR/FDA accreditations.

Qualifications

This position requires:

  • A Washington State License as a Radiologic Technologist;
  • A certificate from the American Registry of Radiological Technology including mammography;
  • Minimum one year experience in Diagnostic Radiology (or two years at VM as a student tech);
  • 24 hours of continuing medical education are required every two years; 
  • CPR license to be renewed every two years;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • A willingness to grow with technological changes occurring in the field;
  • The ability to manage stressful situations appropriately;
  • The ability to attend to multiple tasks and work independently;
  • The ability to be versatile and flexible.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required for this position.

Preferred is two years of experience in mammography.
