This position supports the professional medical education activities for the family medicine residency in Quincy. This position serves as the primary contact for organizations that have an agreement with the Center to coordinate learning experiences for residents and medical students. The individual in this position assists the Program Director in coordinating educational experiences for rotations, facilitates all accreditation and licensure issues, provides administrative and technical support in program development, curriculum-related activities, and developing and documenting evaluation criteria for residents. In addition, this position plays a major role in the recruitment efforts for the training programs and as an administrator of New Innovations for the residents.
80% Quincy Residency
2. Responsible for maintaining portfolios for all residents on their three-year experience: personnel records, legal papers, contracts, demographic data, licensing and testing information, absence requests, evaluations, and other related materials.
3. Maintain a database of past residents/fellows, contacting them periodically to verify practice data and to survey them on educational issues.
4. Responsible for tracking and notification of resident Absence requests
5. Monitoring residents’ compliance with Duty Hour logging and adherence to OGME Duty Hour Policy.
6. Monitoring residents’ compliance with Medical Record Delinquent Policy with the clinic Medical Director and HCA personnel.
7. Administer and proctor all in-training assessment tests given to residents.
8. Coordinates the orientation for all new residents.
9. Coordinates yearly Faculty/Resident poster
10. Attend and staff the Faculty meeting, Residency Education Committee, OGME coordinator meetings, CCC, PEC, and the Resident Curriculum Committee meetings
11. Serve as liaison for all inquiries and requests from the American Board of Family Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians and the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians.
12. Serve as liaison with sister family medicine program sites with regard to residency issues.
13. Works closely with Blessing Hospital on event planning for residents and budget submission.
14. Works closely with Blessing Hospital on resident renewal contracts, reimbursements, and training information.
15. Works closely with Blessing Hospital in the ordering of yearly recruitment supplies 16. Works closely with MEPS and faculty on scheduling resident didactics.
