At the University of Cincinnati College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies (CCPS), we believe that experimental learning and career education are essential components of higher education. In support of this, we develop and deliver innovative, high-impact courses, programs, and services that foster students' personal and professional development as dynamic, thoughtful, global citizens. Cooperative Education and Professional Studies (CCPS) faculty and staff have earned UC the distinction of being U.S. News and World Report's (2023) #1 public university for co-ops and internships.
The CCPS' Office of Professional & Continuing Education is seeking a Program Director to coordinate, manage, and update content on . A university-wide initiative powered by Modern Campus, will be the system of record for all non-credit learning across the university. The new platform and public-facing website are anticipated to be functional by August 2024, with all existing non-credit programs incorporated by the end of the academic year. Development of new non-credit offerings will continue past these dates. This position will play a pivotal role in the success, expansion, and long-term sustainability of this initiative. This position is a new position to the college; thus, an ideal candidate will be adaptable, flexible, and take initiative in identifying areas of needs and proactive in finding solutions.
This position will serve as the primary point of contact for staff and learners who need support with this system. This includes onboarding new program partners into the system, acting as a product resource, and being the initial point of contact for learners with system needs. Training will be crucial to this position – developing and delivering training directly to partners and building a repository of training materials. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop a rapport with program partners, understand their needs with the product, and provide resources and support appropriately. As this is a new initiative, the ability to establish and maintain relationships with university partners will be crucial to long-term success.
The Project Director will be responsible for the overall functionality, navigation, and maintenance of . This includes managing the website, platform, and content, as well as course offerings. While the platform and website will be fully operational by August, continuous development and refinement will be necessary. Change management will be crucial to keep the system relevant and responsive to the needs of non-credit programs and learners. This project offers numerous opportunities, with this role being essential in understanding the product, being adaptable in system implementation, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
