Responsibilities
• Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist • Coordinates daily activities, including performing examinations and associated clerical duties • Prepares patients for radiological procedures through proper positioning and image technique • Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records • Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images • Assists the radiologist in administering medications and contrast agents • Participates in emergency call rotation to meet department needs
Requirements
• Associate's Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology/ARRT certification • State license (VA) must be in process by submission • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date • American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred • Willing to accept new grads
