About Us: We are a leading educational institution dedicated to fostering social justice, anti-racist principles, and cultural competency within our Counselor Education Program. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our faculty team. Position Overview: As a member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in providing Counselor Education to our online graduate students. Emphasizing social justice advocacy, anti-racist literature, and cultural competency, you will mentor and educate students from diverse backgrounds, nurturing their growth and development in the field. Key Responsibilities: Instruction and Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver master's level courses in online formats, ensuring adherence to curriculum guidelines and fostering an engaging learning environment. Supervision and Advisement: Provide guidance and support to counseling interns, offering mentorship and advising to students throughout their academic journey. Community Engagement: Collaborate with agencies, schools, and the wider regional community, fostering partnerships and promoting the integration of academic learning with real-world practice. Research and Publication: Drive research initiatives and contribute to scholarly publications, promoting an active research agenda within the department and beyond. Service and Collaboration: Actively participate in departmental, school, and university-level activities, demonstrating a commitment to the advancement of our educational mission. Requirements: Education: Doctorate in Counselor Education is required. Experience: Minimum two years' experience as a licensed mental health counselor or school counselor, with at least one year of university teaching experience, particularly in online formats. Certifications: School counseling certification and/or clinical mental health counseling licensure are preferred. Skills and Attributes: A strong commitment to social justice, demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, and familiarity with national accreditation standards are essential. Experience with multicultural counseling and knowledge of educational technology are highly valued.
