The Cambridge Health Alliance’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Program is a multi-grant funded program that provides clinical, education, and outreach services to clients at CHA health centers and in the surrounding communities. 

This mission of the program is to better the reproductive and sexual health outcomes of our communities. Our vision is for all to have unbiased and equitable access to reproductive and sexual health services. The three main priorities of the program include helping clients to make empowered choices by providing access to sex positive health services through counseling and education, advocating for reproductive and sexual health rights for everyone, and being a trusted resource in our communities. In order to achieve these priorities, we maintain high quality work, timeliness, collaborative teamwork, supportive communication, strong leadership and passionate advocacy.

Position:

Under the general direction of the Director of Sexual and Reproductive Health, the Community Health Educator I provides reproductive and sexual health counseling and services to CHA patients and other community members. under the program grant requirements with the mission to improve the sexual and reproductive health of our communities. Essential job functions are focused on quality, timeliness, teamwork, positive and supportive communication, risk taking, and advocacy.

Position is 24-40 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30 am- 5 pm, 52 weeks per year and is dependent upon continued availability of grant funding. Position working schedule hours consist of working with patients virtually, in-person on site, in the office and with outreach in the surrounding CHA communities. Exact schedule is flexible.

This position will follow CHA’s hybrid work environment guideline. It will be largely remote, with in-office presence as requested for trainings, in-person appointments at clinics, all-staff meetings, or community events. Remote work will be granted on a case-by-case basis as determined by staff performance and televisit caseload. 

Physical Demands :This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Frequent repetitive motions (standing, sitting, walking) required. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position operates on a 40 -hour workweek, with part time/flexible schedule available. 

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma required

Experience as a Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant/other clinical role preferred

Bilingual in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Brazilian Portuguese preferred.
