Job Description - Continuing Education Advisor

Are you passionate about education and driven to help others succeed? Join us as a Continuing Education Advisor and start your career by making a difference in the lives of students! We're looking for motivated individuals to advise current and prospective students on our non-degree programs. Starting salary is $40,000 per year. Location and Work Environment:
This role is based in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid remote work option. You may need to be in the office 2 days per week, subject to change, and attend occasional in-person department meetings or training sessions with advance notice. We follow all proper health and safety measures. Training:
New hires will undergo three weeks of comprehensive training. The first week will be in-person at our Phoenix campus, followed by two weeks of virtual training. Responsibilities:
As a Continuing Education Advisor, your typical week might include: Counseling: Guide new and continuing non-degree students on university policies, procedures, registration, course requirements, and payment options while maintaining confidentiality.
Advising and Influencing: Use various mediums such as phone, email, and text to provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, championing student success and institutional growth.
Performance and Teamwork: Meet performance goals, generate referral activities, and guide prospective students through the admissions process, clearly communicating program requirements, transfer credits, payment options, time commitment, technology requirements, and student support services.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Must not be delinquent or in default on federal student loans as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must show you are current on your payments.
Outstanding time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities.
Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with well-developed listening and follow-up abilities.
Self-motivation and drive to succeed, taking ownership of the time spent with students to help them achieve their goals.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to demonstrate empathy while coaching a diverse range of students.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital tools to execute your work and maintain accountability.
Preferred Qualifications: Relevant industry-related professional experience.
Experience working with CRM tools.
Prior call center experience.
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
Strong critical thinking, judgment, and attention to detail.
Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
